Warminster Township has expanded its full-time fire services staff with the addition of two new firefighters, township officials announced.

James McAllister, of Yardley, and AJ Ridge, of Southampton, have joined the Warminster Township Fire Services Department as full-time firefighters.

According to the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors, the new hires will strengthen the department's ability to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency calls throughout the community. The additions are intended to help ensure residents continue to receive timely emergency services when they call for assistance.

McAllister is a graduate of Pennsbury High School. Prior to joining Warminster Township Fire Department, McAllister served as a volunteer firefighter with Morrisville Fire Company for four years and Fairless Hills Fire Company for nine years. He also serves as a part-time EMT for the Yardley-Makefield Emergency Unit and Horsham Fire Department.

Ridge is a graduate of William Tennent High School and served as a volunteer firefighter with Southampton Fire Company for seven years. He is also a volunteer EMT with Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services. (CBEMS).

“Our full-time staffing model complements the volunteer firefighting forces of the Warminster Township Fire Department and the Hartsville Fire Company that have both trained and responded to fire and rescue emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in our community for the last 100 years," said Joseph Velten, Director of Emergency Management & Services in Warminster Township. “We are excited to have James McAllister and AJ Ridge on our team and welcome them to our community.”

Also in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony were representatives from Warminster Fire Department, Hartsville Fire Company, CBEMS, Morrisville Fire Company and Southampton Fire Company.
