Bucks County Community College proudly announces CKS WESTDOC LIVE, a new
monthly documentary series that features prestigious producers and directors
discussing the filmmaking process.

Produced in partnership with Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Chuck
Braverman, creator of the acclaimed WESTDOC platform, and accomplished
producer/director Peter LeDonne, the dynamic monthly series features live Q&A after
each screening with the creators.

“The best documentary films and their creators from around the world come to Newtown
in this new series,” said Peter Chiovarou, the director of community programming and
college events. “We’re thrilled that the Zlock Performing Arts Center is the new East

Coast home of WESTDOC.”

The series begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 19, with a screening of “Classroom 4”
hosted in-person by LeDonne and featuring a guest appearance by director/producer
Eden Wurmfeld.

Executive produced by Edward Norton, “Classroom 4” follows Professor Reiko Hillyer
teaching “The History of Crime and Punishment” inside a prison to undergraduates from
Lewis & Clark College and incarcerated adults at Columbia River Correctional Institution
in Portland, Oregon. The film follows the students and professor over an entire
semester, letting the audience experience how the shared education changes all the
students and their professor.
