When I sat down at the kitchen table with my clients, Bob and Beth, I could tell they were nervous about the process of selling their home. Understandably, they had lived there for 30 years, and they didn’t have any local family to help.
I explained to them how I do things differently; I take a personalized approach and utilize my 20 years of experience and vast connections to help my clients seamlessly go through a real estate transaction.
I call this my Concierge Approach. Clients just make one call to me for anything they need, and at their direction, I either take the reins and get it scheduled or provide the connection for them to run with it.
At this meeting Bob told me that he needed a minor repair done but that none of the handymen he reached out to would return his call. I scrolled through my phone and gave him one of my trusted contacts. The repair was done the next day! When I followed up to see how their experience was, Bob said, “Gina, if I knew about this level of service, we would have sold our home with you years ago.”
Next came making the showings easier. My colleague and I scheduled two days of open houses so that Bob and Beth could spend the weekend relaxing at the shore with their dog. This was a huge success as we had 42 showings, multiple offers, and ultimately, secured the buyer.
The next phase for Bob and Beth was packing up the house. I put them in touch with a lovely woman who could assist with this but also who could help them figure out what they could bring to their next home. They were downsizing from a single-family home to a one-bedroom apartment so this was critical.
Once they were able to identify what could go with them, I gave them a junk removal person who emptied the house before closing. Finally, my house cleaner came in and did the final cleaning while Bob and Beth were getting settled in their new space.
I delivered their check to them after closing and they generously invited me to lunch. I couldn’t believe how they had already adapted to their next chapter. They were smiling, laughing and already making new friends. It was truly an honor to help them during this emotional time, and I know our relationship will continue.
