The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was established in 1947 in Los Angeles by Major Bill Hendricks and his wife, Diane. Diane had handcrafted dolls she hoped to give to children in need, but finding no organization to accept them, the couple started one. As Warner Bros.’ Director of Public Relations, Major Hendricks gained the support of Hollywood figures, including Walt Disney, who designed the first Toys for Tots poster and inspired the iconic logo used today. Officially recognized as a nonprofit in 1991, Toys for Tots has grown into a nationwide movement dedicated to collecting toys, raising funds, and spreading joy to millions of children each year.
Here in Bucks County, the local Toys for Tots chapter has seen remarkable growth. Starting with just two volunteers and three businesses, it is now a community effort with more than three dozen volunteers and 325 local businesses lending support. Last year, the Bucks County chapter distributed an amazing 32,094 toys to 6,972 children, a true testament to the community's generosity.

With the help of our employees, their families, and our loyal customers, we have donated thousands of toys to the Bucks County Toys for Tots program. We are proud to continue this tradition of giving and look forward to making this year’s drive another success. If you would like to join us in making a difference, consider donating a new, unwrapped toy or a cash contribution. Donations can be dropped off at our Newtown locations, 500 S. State St. or 507 S. State St., or simply handed to any of our employees during a service visit or delivery. They will place it in the donation box for you.
