August is one of our favorite months at Charlann Farms. It's the peak of the growing season, and our fields are overflowing with fresh, homegrown fruits and vegetables. While our farmers spend long days harvesting the season's best, our farmstand is bustling with families picking up sweet corn, vine-ripened tomatoes, juicy cantaloupes, watermelon and so much more.
This summer, we're excited to host our 4th Annual Farm to Table Dinner on Friday, August 22. What started as a special evening celebrating local agriculture has become one of our favorite traditions, bringing the community together around fresh food, great company and the beauty of the farm.
Local Chef Joseph Garvey will prepare a seasonal menu featuring the freshest ingredients harvested right here at Charlann Farms. The dinner will also showcase many of the local products we proudly carry in our farmstand, including artisan breads from Baker Street Bread, premium meats from Jericho Mountain Beef and other locally sourced ingredients that highlight the best our region has to offer. As guests dine under the stars, they'll enjoy live music by The Fermenters Trio, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable summer evening.
Our farmstand is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season along with a variety of locally made products. It's the perfect time of year to shop local and enjoy the incredible flavors of Pennsylvania's harvest.
